We understand that engaging a design firm involves trust, investment, and vision. That’s why we have created a transparent and detailed Refund Policy to clearly outline the circumstances under which refunds are offered, how they are processed, and what conditions apply.

This Refund Policy applies to all services provided by Mode and Manor, including but not limited to design consultations, full-scope interior design services, virtual packages, product sourcing, and third-party procurement on behalf of clients.

  1. General Refund Principles

  2. Mode and Manor offers personalized and project-specific services, which often involve time, intellectual property, and third-party commitments. As such, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are governed by the following principles:

    • Transparency: We commit to clear communication regarding pricing, scope, and timelines prior to starting any service.
    • Fairness: We aim to provide fair and reasonable resolutions to refund requests.
    • Documentation: All refund-related discussions and outcomes will be recorded in writing for transparency.
    • Good Faith: We expect our clients to raise refund concerns in a timely and honest manner, allowing us to address them constructively.
  3. Refund Eligibility by Service Type

    • Initial Design Consultation
      • Consultation fees (virtual or in-person) are non-refundable unless canceled within 24 hours of booking and at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled consultation time.
      • If a consultation is rescheduled within the allowed window, the original payment is transferred to the new date.
      • No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment are non-refundable.
    • Full-Service Interior Design Projects

      • Projects that involve a signed agreement and deposit fall under the following conditions:
      • Design Deposits/Retainers are non-refundable after 3 days of signing the agreement unless Mode and Manor fails to commence work as scheduled.
      • If a project is canceled by the client before design work begins, a refund minus an administrative and consultation fee (typically 10–20% of the total project fee) may be considered.
      • Once design concepts, drawings, or presentations have been delivered, no refunds will be issued for work completed.
      • In the event of client dissatisfaction, we encourage dialogue and reasonable revisions rather than termination.
      • Unused project phases (e.g., final styling not yet scheduled) may be partially refundable depending on the scope and incurred expenses.
    • Virtual Design Packages

      • Virtual design packages (e.g., e-design, mood boards, style quizzes) are non-refundable once delivered.
      • If a package is purchased but not yet initiated, a full or partial refund may be issued upon written cancellation, minus processing fees.
    • Product Sourcing & Procurement

      • Items sourced, ordered, or purchased on behalf of the client (furniture, artwork, décor) are subject to the supplier or vendor’s refund and return policies.
      • Mode and Manor is not responsible for manufacturer defects, late deliveries, or client-initiated returns unless the contract specifies otherwise.
      • Custom-made or made-to-order items are non-refundable once orders are placed.
      • Restocking, return shipping, and administrative fees may apply if returns are approved.
  4. Project Cancellation by Mode and Manor

  5. In rare cases, Mode and Manor may cancel a project due to:

    • Safety concerns or property access issues
    • Client breach of contract or non-payment
    • Unforeseen circumstances that make project continuation impossible

    In such cases, Mode and Manor will provide:

    • A detailed explanation of the cancellation
    • A pro-rata refund for unused services or incomplete phases
    • Transfer of work completed to date (where applicable)

    No additional compensation will be owed beyond what has been paid or services rendered.

  6. Refund Processing Timeline

  7. If a refund is approved, Mode and Manor will process the refund using the original payment method unless otherwise requested. Refunds are typically processed within:

    • 7 to 14 business days for credit/debit card payments
    • Up to 21 business days for bank or wire transfers
    • Third-party product refunds may take longer, subject to the vendor’s processing timelines

    Clients will receive a confirmation email or receipt once the refund has been issued. Please contact us if funds have not been received within 30 days of approval.

  8. Non-Refundable Items and Expenses

  9. The following are not eligible for refund under any circumstances:

    • Creative work already completed (designs, drawings, layouts)
    • Project retainers after the 3-day grace period
    • Vendor deposits and purchases made on behalf of the client
    • Consultation fees after 48-hour cancellation window
    • Third-party contractor services
    • Travel, shipping, and delivery fees
    • Rush orders or expedited services
  10. Dispute Resolution Process

  11. We understand that sometimes expectations and outcomes can differ. In case of a dispute regarding deliverables or service quality, we offer a three-step resolution process:

    1. Discussion – An initial conversation to understand the issue and find a common-sense resolution.
    2. Written Review – A formal written review of the service provided vs. what was agreed upon in the contract.
    3. Mediation – If no resolution is reached, a neutral third party may be brought in for mediation before considering legal action.

    We are committed to working in good faith and welcome any opportunity to resolve concerns amicably and professionally.

  12. Refund Request Procedure

  13. To request a refund, the client must:

    1. Submit a written request to support@modeandmanor.com including:
      • Full name and contact information
      • Date of service or transaction
      • Reason for refund request
      • Any supporting documentation (e.g., photos, receipts)
    2. Allow Mode and Manor up to 10 business days to investigate and respond.
    3. Wait for official confirmation before reversing any payments or issuing a chargeback.

    Note: Filing a chargeback without first contacting us voids all refund eligibility and may result in legal recourse.

  14. Policy Changes

  15. Mode and Manor reserves the right to update or revise this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and apply to future transactions. Clients are encouraged to review the policy before entering into any new agreement.
